Just a normal trip to the supermarket

So, I guess one would assume that a nice family of mice live at the local supermarket. Perhaps they could just stay hidden and not make themselves known WHILE I'M SHOPPING!! I was getting some babyfood for Whitney, and I guess the 4th sweet potatoes jar was too much for one hand. I dropped it and it crashed on the ground. I knelt down to push some of the glass shards out the way and a little mouse ran out from under the aisle shelving to investigate and quickly ran back in. . . maybe he wanted to try the sweet potatoes. EWWW. Smokey. . . want to go shopping with me next time? If there is a next time???

It wasn't at HyVee was it? I'm going there this afternoon to get some more Jello pudding pops.

It wasn't HyVee, it was "Stupid Slaver" as my sis-in-law calls it since she works at one. And funny you should mention the pudding pops. We had the missionaires over for dinner tonight and Matt thought he would impress them with our fabulous pudding pops. "Oh, Sister Nelson gave us those! They're really good!!" So funny.

I guess where ever there is food, there are mice. But, I don't want mine to be so bold as to run out at the sound of breaking glass!!!

Mmmm, pudding pops.

I would have guessed Food 4 Less. . . Tell me you got some free food or coupons or something. . .

Hugh is addicted to Sweet Potatoes (basically he favors the orange food-). Match made in heaven, Wendy Sue!

That's hilarious that the E. Venable remembered. He must have liked them. It was really hard for me to share my pops with the Elders but we had absolutely nothing else for dessert. That was my own personal sacrifice for "the work" that week. :)

I didn't even get pudding pops last night! I forgot. We were in a hurry. I did get a $5 Friday night pizza, though. So much for PFA. Happy weekend!

Lisa, that is so funny about Hugh. Whitney's diet is basically Sweet Potatoes, Squash and Carrots. I half expect her to wake up in the morning completely orange!!

Oh my the mice stories of this cursed winter...I had one who liked to frequent my couch. Oh yes, new droppings in the couch every morning. Granted, the first few nights before I realized he was coming to sup, there were plenty of things to sup as I had just had a party and not vaccuumed out my couch...but then he kept coming and even gnawed a hole looking for that sup. After taking apart my couch to be sure he wasn't living in it, we found his hole...it was behind the oven...I patched EVERY hole in the house with steel wool and haven't seen "Charlie" (Daughter named him) since. But boy was I hysterical. A few weeks later I saw one do the same sort of aisle jiggle at toys r us, boy was I glad I didn't find one in the My little pony castle box on christmas eve...I hate mice.
