I've got my dancin' shoes on!!

We head out today for Utah and my Valentines Day present!! I'm super excited and Matt even has new dancin' shoes (thanks Dad!).

I'm really overdue for a vacation. I can't believe that we will be "sans kids" for 4 whole days!! I might even miss them a little by the end of it.

So, Oh Judy and I were hoping to get some bloggers together maybe the Monday or Tuesday before the 4th of July for lunch or dinner. She's going to send out an email, but leave me a comment about what day/time works best for you! Or drop me an email too.

Meanwhile. . .2,3,cha,cha,cha. I'm sure I'll have plenty to blog about and plenty of pictures!!

Supermarket Sweep!!

Did you know that if you SAVE too much money at the store, they have to call a manager over to make sure the checker didn't make some huge mistake, or give someone a huge deal?

Well, that SO happened to me, miss bargain shopper, coupon using, rockin' momma!

A store near us was having their grand re-opening so I was totally taking advantage (THEY offered it, so why not??)

My total: $62.57

Total savings: $70.05

Yeah, you read it right, I SAVED more than I SPENT.
I love it when that happens (like, never.)

Wendy, Come on Down!!

Ok, I am SO all over this. My sister called me tonight after she saw the commercial and said, you have to try out.

I have a habit of correcting people when they use the wrong words to songs.

Matt's sister once thought the words to the "Officer and a Gentleman" song were "love lifters up where we belong." Umm. What exactly IS "lifters" Tiff?

Once when I heard Matt say the wrong words to a song I said,

"You know those AREN'T the right words."

He (very smartalicky) said,

"Well, I'm not singing that song."

I'm seriously trying out. I'm emailing my application tomorrow.

No, seriously, I am. You're gonna see me on TV.

rain, rain go away.

Ugh. I love the rain, really I do. My grass loves it, I don't have to water, my plants love it, my kids love to splash in it. Unfortunately, my 1937 built, patched again and again, foundation of my house doesn't. We've been having these massive thunderstorms that blow in, pour for about 10 minutes, then run off like a bad boyfriend.

That means water for us.

We always get a little here and there and we're used to that, but tonight has done it. I'm finished. As I was moving all the wet junk I moved some small cans of old paint that need to go away (but they're full and I can't throw them out, latex and all, blah, blah, blah), but anyWHO, I moved them and the TOPS of them were covered in water. Now we have an idea of how fast the water was moving in that area. 3 out of the 4 corners got it bad. Tomorrow all the foundation repairing, replacing people will be loving to hear from me: panicked, frustrated homeowner, willing to pay whatever, just come and take care of it and promise me no more late nights of wet-vac-ing up the carpet and flooring again!!

I wonder if DQ is still open for a peanut-buster-parfait?
