kid--1, parents-- zip

When I last left Whitney, she was snuggling in her bed with her pillow and blankets. . .I promise.
I was downstairs getting the girls ready and Matt turns on the monitor to hear a little tap, tap, then some talking from Whitney.
"Did you give her something?"
"No, she doesn't even have a book in there."
He waited a few minutes then opened the door to go upstairs and see what she was doing "in her crib".
This is what he found. Oh, and YES, those ARE screwdrivers in her hands.
Heaven help me.

Was your first thought, "This would make a great blog post"?

At least they are screwdrivers and not saws or something. And so it begins...

Christy--Is that bad, that yes, my first thought, was "grab the camera!". I did have to recreate her sitting there, since she had already started running around so proud of what she had done.

I hope she didn't use them.

Aren't toddlers fun? She and Hugh would have a lot to chat about.

I can't remember what Eva did the other day and I said...WAIT! Let me get the camera. Carl gave me the "Are you kidding, me?" look so I didn't get a picture. It probably had something to do with poop or nakedness. Those are her favorite things lately.

I've been looking at a similar scoreboard for most of my maternal life. (Only the kids have had a few more years to run up the score a bit more.)

My 3-year-old tends to escape his room sometime in the middle of the night and place his body in the middle of the hallway. Then he falls asleep again. I'm always afraid I'm not going to see him when I get up. Nothing like being awakened suddenly by being tripped on.

That girl!!

crib tent, crib tent, crib tent. Yes there is a zipper but it is on the outside. Cubby chewed a hole in the mesh and reaches his hand through to unzip it...so now we pin the zipper down, but so far he is contained. It is the ONLY time I feel like I can leave the room or sleep because I know he is safe.....

They cost about 100 dollars, but I would have paid 10,000 dollars for one. Seriously.

For Lucky I used diaper pins to tent the top of her crib with a sheet after she got out and scattered rice all over the shag carpet. It cost $0
