Whitney has inherited a trait or two from my Dad. . .the first is a true love of peanut butter (which has me on my toes every time I go to Sams Club. . .why must they move it EVERY time?!). I will often step into the kitchen and find the huge jar of JIF opened on the floor with a big spoon in it, and Whitney walking around with peanut butter practically from ear to ear. But that's not what this is about. .
Years ago we had a phrase we used when out to dinner with my Dad. . .NO plate poaching! To this day if we go out to dinner, he'll say he's not hungry and order a small something or a salad, then proceed to oogle over everyone's plate. . ."OOOH, THAT looks good!", "are you going to finish that?", "pass that over when you're done." My little (almost 4 year old) Whitney is now a carrier. Her sisters are starting to refuse to sit next to her. You almost don't even notice her little hands "borrowing" from your plate, until almost all your strawberries, or fries, or whatevers are gone. I'm turning her over to the plate endangerment police.

Eva's the same way with peanut butter. She'll just eat it straight with a spoon all day if I let her.
That is so cute! My litle George does that with Nutella. All of my kids are poachers...let me send mine in too!
My Dad is the exact same way, except with desserts!
Julie. . .now desserts are a completely different subject, even I'm a plate poacher when it comes to a good dessert.
Plate poaching! I never knew there was an official term for it.
Lyle, now you are in "the know". . .use the term freely now!!
